How to Uninstall STOPzilla

Uninstall Instructions for the following STOPzilla products: AntiVirus, AntiMalware, Optimizer

You can remove STOPzilla in the following ways:

• From Windows Control Panel.
• From the Start menu.
• From Windows 8 Start screen.

Please print out this guide before continuing to uninstall. If you would like to reinstall STOPzilla on your computer, you must uninstall STOPzilla from your computer first. You can reinstall the product using the installation file that you downloaded from www.stopzilla.com website. To reinstall STOPzilla, follow the installation procedures that are available in the Download. During uninstallation, STOPzilla offers to leave the STOPzilla files on your computer; you can choose to keep the STOPzilla files or remove all files without any cost.

To uninstall STOPzilla from Windows Control Panel

1. Do one of the following:
   • On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Control Panel.
   • In Windows 8, go to Apps, and under Windows System, click Control Panel.
2. In Windows Control Panel, do one of the following:
   • In Windows XP, double-click Add or Remove Programs.
   • In Windows Vista, double-click Programs and Features.
   • In Windows 7 or Windows 8, click Programs > Programs and Features.
   The Programs option in Windows 7 and Windows 8 is available when you select the Category option in the View by drop-down list.
3. In the list of currently installed programs, do one of the following:
   • In Windows XP, click on the name of your STOPzilla program, and then click Change/Remove.
   • In Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8, click on the name of your STOPzilla program, and then click Uninstall/Change.
4. In the page that appears, under Select Your Uninstall Preference, click one of the following:

   I plan to reinstall a STOPzilla product. Please leave my settings behind.	Lets you retain your settings, passwords, and preferences for STOPzilla features before you uninstall STOPzilla. Select this option if you want to reinstall STOPzilla.
   Please remove all user data.	Lets you completely remove STOPzilla without saving your settings, passwords, and preferences.

5. Do one of the following:
   • Click Restart Now (recommended) to restart the computer.
   • Click Restart Later to restart your computer later.
   Note: STOPzilla is not fully uninstalled until you restart your computer.

To uninstall STOPzilla from the Start menu

1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start > All Programs > STOPzilla (Your product name) > Uninstall STOPzilla
2. In the page that appears, under Select Your Uninstall Preference, click one of the following:

   I plan to reinstall a STOPzilla product. Please leave my settings behind.	Lets you retain your settings, passwords, and preferences for STOPzilla features before you uninstall STOPzilla. Select this option if you want to reinstall STOPzilla.
   Please remove all user data.	Lets you completely remove STOPzilla without saving your settings, passwords, and preferences.

3. Click Next
4. Do one of the following:
   • Click Restart Now (recommended) to restart the computer.
   • Click Restart Later to restart your computer later.
   Note: STOPzilla is not fully uninstalled until you restart your computer.

To uninstall STOPzilla from the Start screen in Windows 8

1. On the Start screen, right-click on the name of your STOPzilla program and then click Uninstall.
2. In the list of currently installed programs, click on the name of your STOPzilla program, and then click Uninstall/Change.
3. In the page that appears, under Select Your Uninstall Preference, click one of the following:

   I plan to reinstall a STOPzilla product. Please leave my settings behind.	Lets you retain your settings, passwords, and preferences for STOPzilla features before you uninstall STOPzilla. Select this option if you want to reinstall STOPzilla.
   Please remove all user data.	Lets you completely remove STOPzilla without saving your settings, passwords, and preferences.

4. Do one of the following:
   • Click Restart Now (recommended) to restart the computer.
   • Click Restart Later to restart your computer later.
